Evelyn Peternel asked Yan St-Pierre for his analysis of the cancellation of the football match in Hanover to include in her article in the Austrian newspaper Kurier: “Alarm um Match: Die Lage ist ernst – wirklich ernst“.
“Terrorists always attack symbol, they want to make an impression”, says St-Pierre. A stadium which transmits live into the world is perfect for this.” (…) However, right now no one thinks that the people will stay at home for the next match. St-Pierre even expects the opposite. “I believe the whole thing will encourage people to go out.”
