There must be a military solution as well as a diplomatic solution, it cannot be either or. (…) There is a consens to fight against IS, Russia, the Western countries agree, but as long as there is this cleaveage – fighting a bit against IS, a bit against the rebels, a bit against Assad’s troops – we cannot achieve anything.
