Following the Boko Haram attack on the city of Bama in north-east Nigeria, Yan St-Pierre was asked by Radio France Internationale (RFI)‘s Michel Arseneault to provide insight as to some of the rumours and facts of the battle and the terrorist group’s advance towards Maiduguri for his report “Nigeria air force hits Bama armoury, killing soldiers“:

In northern Nigeria, Boko Haram have overrun the town of Bama, 70 km from Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state. There are reports that some troops were killed at the Bama armoury by the Nigerian air force. A soldier on the ground told Reuters news agency a jet fighter bombed the site, killing everyone there, both Nigerian troops and insurgents. Other sources told Yan St-Pierre, the head of MOSECON, a Berlin-based security firm, that troops again fled the fighting.
